Here I am with my two beautiful little people, on a wonderful beach, in paradise (or close to it).
My most recent achievement is completing the course 'Reflexology for Menopause - Supporting Women Through Menopause'.
I've always been fascinated by the connection between the mind and body. I studied Psychology at the University of Lancashire until I moved to the Eden Valley in 2013. At that point, I took a step back from my studies to focus on raising my family. Later, I earned a Level 3 Diploma in Complementary Therapies from Kendal College and recently completed the above additional training in Reflexology for menopause. Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with clients experiencing menopause-related symptoms, witnessing some very positive results.
My interest in this area began with my Reflexology study partner, in Kendal. While learning the basics of Reflexology, my partner was suffering from severe vasomotor symptoms associated with menopause. We decided to work specific pressure points and select certain oils from the start of our learning journey.
Reflexology, which focuses primarily on the feet, is my main modality, though I also enjoy massage therapy with all the lovely smelling oils! I believe that good intention is crucial in practicing holistic therapy and I am continuously learning new techniques along the way. Keeping up with the latest scientific studies and integrating relevant findings into my work.
Menopause significantly influences both my work and my life. My training covers not only the reflexes related to menopause but also the underlying physiology. If you would like more information about any of this, please do get in touch - I would love to hear from you!
I am deeply passionate about my work, believing that 'knowledge is power.' My high standard of education and training provide me with the expertise needed to offer effective holistic therapy.
I hope to speak to you soon.
